… an absolutely great job. Mr. Shakya (left) is the senior advisor, Mr. Shresta is the construction manager and the good soul for the reconstruction of the Kastamandapa-Temple in Kathmandu, Durbar Square. For the rebuild they refused modern aid like a crane or an excarvator, everything is done in the old tradition. Even the consolidation of the ground was done by handwork. They used as much as possible of the old material, so one of the main construction columns is from the old temple, the others were brought from Terai. Of course it is hard timber, Sal. Not even a single nail should be used and if the flow of money and so far the flow of material is going on further without complications, they hope, that their work will be done within one year or one and a half year. But anyhow, the main aim is to keep the soul and the spirit of this wonderful old temple and to build an bridge for the eternal soul of Kathmandu, to find a new home in the new old building.<\/h6>\n

Anyhow, the wheel of life is not only made for human beings, but also for all the other phenomenons in our simple structured world. Even temples have more then one life. So thanks to Mr. Shakya and Mr. Shresta – I don’t know, if someone ever mentioned them within the last four years after the earthquake – the inner soul of Kathmandu will survive and Kastamandap will be one of the treasure boxes. Knapp f\u00fcnf\u00a0Jahre sp\u00e4ter, da hat sich augenscheinlich noch nicht soviel getan. Aber wir in Europa kennen das ja, da ist ein f\u00fcrchterliches Erdbeben wie etwa im Apennin und ganze D\u00f6rfer liegen in Schutt und Asche oder etwa wie im Friaul, wo nach 30 Jahren das Provisorium immer noch der Alltag ist… Betroffenheit, ernste Politikerworte, eine kleine Spendenwelle und dann kommt schon das n\u00e4chste wichtige Betroffenheitsereignis. Der FC Bayern verliert, Florian Silbereisen trennt sich, es regnet, statt dass es schneit und…und…und…aus den Augen, aus dem Sinn. Aber macht es \u00fcberhaupt Sinn, dann an solche Orte zu kommen? Unbedingt, denn die Menschen d\u00fcrsten nach\u00a0Aufmerksamkeit, sie sind stolz auf ihre geschafften Leistungen, und sie wollen eins, nicht vergessen werden! Und das haben sie auch nach all dem Leid verdient und gerade jetzt ist es besonders wichtig. Und jetzt mal ganz ehrlich, wer hierher kommt und meint, Nepal ist ein Billigreiseland, alles m\u00fcsse doch wegen der kaputten Infrastruktur noch einmal\u00a0billiger werden, die sowieso schon\u00a0seit Jahrzehnten gedr\u00fcckten Preise m\u00fcssten runter, der m\u00f6ge doch bitte einmal in den Spiegel schauen und sich fragen, meine ich das ernst? Nepal ist ein wunderbares Land, vor allem nach diesem Beben, von dem wir so viel lernen k\u00f6nnten, wenn wir nur wollten.<\/h6>\n
